Terms & Conditions

Disclaimer

These Terms and Conditions outline the guidelines for all electrical services provided by SaltStone Electrical Group, including quotes, pricing, variations, access requirements, cancellations, payment terms, warranties, safety compliance, and liability. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms, which ensure transparency, safety, and a high standard of workmanship for every residential and commercial project.

Terms & Conditions 

1. Definitions
“Company” means SaltStone Electrical Group.
“Customer” means the person or business requesting the work.
“Services” means electrical work, repairs, maintenance, testing, installation, or other work
performed.
“Materials” includes parts, fixtures, fittings, or equipment supplied by the Company.


2. Quotes & Pricing
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Quotes are based on customer-provided information. If onsite conditions differ, the Company may
revise the quote.
Additional work beyond the original scope will be treated as a variation and charged accordingly.
Call-out fees, minimum charges, and hourly rates apply as listed in the quote or schedule of rates.


3. Variations
Variations occur when additional labour, materials, or time are required beyond the original scope.
Variations will be communicated before work proceeds where practical.
The Customer agrees to pay all approved variations.


4. Access & Site Requirements
The Customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the property, including switchboards,
work areas, and parking.
Pets must be secured and obstacles cleared prior to arrival.
If the site is not ready or accessible, additional charges may apply.


5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.
If the Company cancels or reschedules due to safety, weather, or other legitimate reasons, the
Customer will be notified as soon as possible.

6. Payment Terms
Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Deposits may be required for specialised materials or large projects.
Late payments may incur interest at 5% per month and recovery costs.
Materials remain the property of the Company until fully paid.


7. Electrical Safety & Compliance
All work complies with:
- Electrical Safety Act 2002 (QLD)
- Electrical Safety Regulation 2013 (QLD)
- AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules)
A Certificate of Test/Compliance will be provided when required.


8. Warranty
Labour warranty: 12 months from completion.
Materials warranty: According to manufacturer terms.
Warranty does not cover misuse, unauthorised repairs, pre-existing wiring faults, pest damage,
storm events, or surges.
Warranty service must be booked directly with the Company.


9. Liability
The Company is not liable for existing non-compliant wiring, hidden defects, or delays beyond its
control.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring appropriate property insurance.


10. Dispute Resolution
The Customer agrees to contact the Company first to resolve issues.
If unresolved, matters may be escalated to QLD Fair Trading or the Electrical Safety Office (ESO).


11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Queensland law.
