Terms & Conditions
1. Agreement
By accepting a quote, engaging our services, or making payment, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Quotes & Pricing
All quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Prices are in AUD and exclusive of GST unless specified.
Quotes are based on information available at the time and may be subject to change if site conditions differ.
3. Scope of Work
Works include only what is detailed in the quote or job description.
Any additional work will be treated as a variation and charged accordingly.
4. Variations & Additional Charges
Additional costs may apply due to:
Unforeseen site conditions
Non-compliant or unsafe existing installations
Changes requested by the client
Restricted access or delays
Variations will be communicated where possible prior to proceeding.
5. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be stated on the quote or invoice.
Deposits may be required prior to commencement.
Progress payments may apply for larger works.
Final payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.
Failure to pay may result in:
Suspension of works
Additional fees or interest
Debt recovery action
6. Site Access & Client Responsibilities
The client must:
Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area
Ensure the site is ready for works to proceed
Advise of any known hazards or special conditions
Delays caused by the client may result in additional charges.
7. Compliance & Standards
All work is carried out in accordance with:
Relevant Australian Standards
State regulations and codes
Where required, a Certificate of Electrical Compliance (CCEW) will be issued.
8. Existing Installations
We are not responsible for faults in existing systems or equipment.
If unsafe or non-compliant conditions are identified, additional work may be required.
9. Solar Systems & Grid Connection
Solar system performance estimates are indicative only and may vary depending on weather conditions, shading, system orientation, and the client’s energy usage patterns.
Grid connection approval is subject to the relevant electricity distributor (e.g. Energex) and may result in limitations such as export restrictions, system size constraints, or additional requirements.
Any additional works required to meet distributor or compliance requirements (including export limiting devices, switchboard upgrades, or protection equipment) are not included unless explicitly stated and will be charged as a variation.
Delays relating to approvals, inspections, or network connection are outside of our control and do not constitute a breach of contract.
10. Battery Systems & “Battery Ready” Installations
Battery system performance and storage capacity are dependent on system configuration, usage patterns, and environmental conditions.
Where a system is described as “battery ready”, it is designed to allow future battery integration; however, additional equipment, labour, and configuration will be required at the time of battery installation.
Compatibility with future battery systems is subject to manufacturer specifications and technological changes.
Any additional works required at the time of battery installation (including inverter upgrades, switchboard modifications, or protection equipment) are not included unless explicitly stated and will be charged as a variation.
11. Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger Installations
EV charger performance and charging speeds are dependent on the existing electrical infrastructure, available capacity, and site conditions.
The quoted installation assumes sufficient capacity is available. Where additional works are required (including switchboard upgrades, mains upgrades, protection devices, or load management systems), these will be treated as a variation unless otherwise specified.
Any required network approvals, notifications, or compliance requirements are subject to the relevant authority and may impact installation timelines or system configuration.
We are not responsible for limitations caused by the client’s existing electrical supply or network constraints.
12. Materials & Supply
Materials supplied remain our property until paid in full.
Product availability may affect timelines.
Equivalent products may be used if necessary.
13. Warranty
SaltStone Electrical Group provides a 5-year workmanship warranty on all installation works. This covers defects arising from installation only and does not include manufacturer equipment faults or external factors.
All supplied equipment is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty periods vary by product and are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. SaltStone Electrical Group will assist in facilitating warranty claims where required.
14. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee.
Deposits may be non-refundable once materials are ordered.
Rescheduling is subject to availability.
15. Delays Beyond Control
We are not responsible for delays caused by:
Weather conditions
Supplier delays
Network/provider approvals
Events outside our control
16. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
Liability is limited to the value of the services provided
17. Safety
We reserve the right to:
Stop work if unsafe conditions are identified
Refuse to carry out non-compliant or unsafe work
18. Photography & Marketing
We may take photos of completed work for marketing purposes.
No personal or identifying information will be shared
19. STC Rebate
The quoted price includes an estimated STC (Small-scale Technology Certificate) rebate. By accepting this proposal, the customer agrees to assign all eligible STCs to SaltStone Electrical Group in exchange for a point-of-sale discount included in the total price.
STC values are determined by market conditions and may vary at the time of installation. Any variation in STC value does not affect the agreed total system price unless otherwise stated.
